When she started her Master of Engineering (Electrical Systems) the goal was to complete her higher education, and now she realizes the two-fold benefits of showing others what you are studying toward. We asked her about her life as a student at EIT.
What course are you completing?
I’m studying Master of Engineering (Electrical Systems).
What about the course did you find interesting, and that you could apply to your work-life?
Absolutely! Energy is a topic in demand not only in Australia. When it comes to renewables, many countries are compromised in reducing harmful gases in the atmosphere. Which is great in terms of the electrical market. In addition, the government is providing subsidies to encourage more green-friendly consumers.
When will you graduate?
I am still studying. I am going to finish in June 2023.
Do you think it helped accelerate your career or job prospects?
Certainly. It wasn’t until I started my Master’s studies that recruiters approached me on LinkedIn.
How did you stay motivated during your time with EIT?
I had support from several different staff members.
What is your favorite part of being an engineer and the engineering field?
The idea of helping the world to be a better place, by using my technical knowledge excites me.
I am passionate about renewable energies.

When I am not working, for sure I am studying.
What is the funniest thing to ever happen to you while working or during your time with EIT?
I was invited by EIT to talk about my studies at a webinar. I invited everyone back home to attend the session. I thought I was a very important person that day…
Who do you look up to and why?
My family! Everything I achieved so far is because they made sacrifices for me.
What invention strikes your fancy?
I haven’t invented anything just yet. But it is already in my plans. I would like to provide a huge contribution to the scientific community.

What are some of the goals you’d like to reach by the end of the year?
Finish it, by being mentally healthy. It’s the truth, I am exhausted.
