Student with recent secondary education

This information applies to students have completed secondary education at school, TAFE, or other VET or higher education provider (Australian or overseas equivalent) that was completed (or will be) in the current year or within the previous two years.

Students who have recently completed secondary education may be eligible to study one of our online bachelor’s degrees.

You may be eligible to apply to study a Bachelor of Science degree if you have completed one of the following:

  1. a Year 12 Australian Senior Certificate of Education (or equivalent for students with qualifications from countries other than Australia) in the past two years, with the following level of achievement in mathematics:
  • WA – WACE scaled score of 50.0 or more.
  • ACT – a scaled mark of 125 or more
  • NSW – performance Band 2 or above
  • QLD – a level of Sound Achievement (S) or above
  • SA/NT – a grade of C- or higher or a Subject achievement score of 10 or more
  • TAS – an award of Satisfactory Achievement or above
  • VIC – a study score of 25 or above

A minimum ATAR score is not an entry requirement; OR

  1. an International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum score of 24 including English and Maths completion; OR
  2. a Foundation studies or bridging course in a relevant discipline with completion of Mathematics and English. e.g. Engineering enabling course

You will also need to have satisfactory English language proficiency at an English pass level in an Australian Senior Certificate of Education (or equivalent for students with qualifications from countries other than Australia) or a specified level of achievement in a recognized English language test such as IELTS at a score of at least 6.0 (with no individual band score less than 5.5); or equivalent, as outlined in the EIT Admissions Policy. 

Please Note: Meeting the minimum entry requirements does not guarantee entry to our programs.  All applications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. There may be additional entry requirements for international students wishing to study on-campus in Australia.

Students who have recently completed a secondary education may be eligible to study one of our bachelor’s degrees on-campus in Australia.

International Students

You may be eligible to study a Bachelor of Science degree if you have completed one of the following:

  1. Your country’s equivalent of a Year 12 Australian Senior Certificate of Education within the past two years; OR
  2. an International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum score of 24 including English and Maths completion; OR
  3. a Foundation studies or bridging course in a relevant discipline with completion of Mathematics and English. e.g. Engineering enabling course

You will also need to demonstrate a specified level of achievement in a recognized English language test such as IELTS, at a score of at least 6.0 (with no individual band score less than 5.5), or equivalent, as outlined in the EIT Admissions Policy.

Domestic Students

A domestic student is an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, or New Zealand Citizen with a Special Category Visa who meets residency criteria.

You may be eligible to study a Bachelor of Science degree if you have completed one of the following:

  1. A Year 12 Australian Senior Certificate of Education in the past two years, with the following level of achievement in mathematics:
  • WA – WACE scaled score of 50.0 or more.
  • ACT – a scaled mark of 125 or more
  • NSW – performance Band 2 or above
  • QLD – a level of Sound Achievement (S) or above
  • SA/NT – a grade of C- or higher or a Subject achievement score of 10 or more
