The Application Process

Once you have determined that you are eligible to study your desired course, please follow the instructions below to progress an application.

I’m applying for an

All courses & programs

  1. Please ensure you are eligible to study your desired course by reading the specific entry requirements available on the individual course page.
  2. Click on the Enquire Now button from the relevant course page that you are interested in.
  3. You will fill in a form with your contact details and will subsequently receive a validation email.
  4. One of our friendly Course Advisors will call you to discuss your course of interest.
  5. We will link you to an Education Agent in your region.
  6. Your education agent will submit your application on your behalf. Please note, all applicants will be required to indicate whether they wish to apply for credit/recognition of prior learning, provide details of relevant work experience, employment (including a resume/CV) where applicable, evidence of English proficiency (if required), certified/notarized photo ID and certified/notarized qualifications transcripts.*
  7. If you wish to apply directly to EIT, we will provide you an application form. Please note that for international students, there is an AU$100 application fee for direct applications.
  8. Wait for your offer.
    The EIT Admissions Team will assess your application, which will take approximately two working days. During this time, you will be notified if further documents are required. This may cause a delay in the process.
  9. If your application is successful, you or your Education Agent will receive a Conditional Letter of Offer.
  10. Review your Conditional Letter of Offer.
    Once you have reviewed your Conditional Letter of Offer, you will need to submit any conditional documentation, as stated in your Conditional Letter of Offer, and you may be asked to attend an interview.
  11. Once all offer conditions have been satisfied, you will then receive your unconditional Letter of Offer and an invoice requesting payment for your first-semester tuition fees and the Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) fee, or provide evidence that you have organized your own OSHC.
  12. Once fees have been received, we will issue an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).
  13. Apply for your student visa.
    Once you receive your CoE either you or your agent will apply for your student visa.

A requirement of studying with EIT is to provide us a certified/notarized copy of a formal identification document, which includes your name (this must match the name used in your application) and photograph. An acceptable formal identification document includes either a copy of a current passport, drivers licence, ID card, or other official licence which includes a photograph of yourself. You will also need to provide certified/notarized qualification transcripts. The certified/notarized transcripts must show all programs and an official statement to confirm that all requirements for the qualification have been satisfied.  If a transcript is not yet available, please attach a certified written record which includes all grades. Certified/notarized copies of relevant documents must be in English.

All courses & programs

A domestic student is an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, or New Zealand Citizen with a Special Category Visa who meets residency criteria.

  1. Please ensure you are eligible to study your desired course by reading the specific entry requirements available on the individual course page.
  2. Click on the Enquire Now button from the relevant course page that you are interested in.
  3. You will fill in a form with your contact details and will subsequently receive a validation email.
  4. One of our friendly Course Advisors will call you to discuss your course of interest.
  5. Our Course Advisor will forward you an application form. All applicants will be required to indicate whether they wish to apply for credit/recognition of prior learning, provide details of relevant work experience, employment (including a resume/CV) where applicable, evidence of English proficiency (if required), certified/notarized photo ID and certified/notarized qualifications transcripts*
  6. Wait for your offer.
    The EIT Admissions Team will assess your application, which will take approximately two working days. During this time, you will be notified if further documents are required. This may cause a delay in the process.
  7. If your application is successful, you will receive a Conditional Letter of Offer.
  8. Review your Conditional Letter of Offer.

  2. Click on the Apply Now button from the course page.
  3. You will fill in a form with your contact details and will subsequently receive a validation email.
  4. Open your validation email and click on the Apply Now button to complete your application. Please note that you will need to include copies of your identification and qualifications; a 500-word statement as to why you wish to apply for this program; and a 1000-word research proposal. You will also be required to provide details of relevant work experience, employment (including a resume/CV), and evidence of English proficiency (if required).
  5. A Course Advisor will call you to see if you need assistance with the application process. If you wish to speak to a member of the research committee regarding your proposed research topic before submitting your application, this will be arranged.
  6. Once you have completed the online application form and submitted all relevant documents, the admissions committee will assess your application.
  7. If you meet the entry requirements, you will be allocated a potential supervisor and invited for an interview.
  8. If your application is successful, our admissions team will send you a Letter of Offer.
  9. Once you have received your Letter of Offer, please ensure you review it. Once you have reviewed your Letter of Offer, you will need to submit your acceptance by the specified due date.

    If your application is successful, you will receive a Letter of Offer.

    Once you have reviewed your Letter of Offer, you will need to submit your acceptance by the specified due date.

  6. Your application will be assessed by your Learning Support Officer, which will take approximately seven working days. During this time, we will notify you if further documents are required.  This may cause a delay in the process.
  7. You will then receive a Provisional Confirmation of Enrolment notification from your Learning Support Officer.  This means that you have been accepted into the program.  A final confirmation will be provided when you have paid your tuition fees by the method indicated in your application form.

An acceptable official identification document includes either a copy of a current passport, drivers licence, ID card, or other official licence which includes a photograph of yourself.

  1. Once you have decided on the course you are interested in, simply click on the Apply Now button from the relevant course page.
  2. You will fill in a form with your contact details and will subsequently receive a validation email.
  3. Open your validation email and click on the Apply Now button to complete your application. All applicants will be required to provide a copy of a formal ID with photo.*
  4. Your application will be assessed by your Learning Support Officer, which will take approximately seven working days.
  5. You will then receive a Provisional Confirmation of Enrolment notification from your Learning Support Officer.  This means that you have been accepted into the program.  A final confirmation will be provided when you have paid your tuition fees by the method indicated in your application form.

Although there are no formal entrance requirements, these courses are aimed at those working in industry in technical positions who want to upskill or cross-skill in a particular field.

English Language Requirements

English language requirements must be satisfied for entry into our doctor of engineering, master’s and bachelor’s degree, and graduate and undergraduate certificate programs.  Please review the specific entry requirements on the relevant course page.
