Technical Engineering Topics Webinar Technical Webinar

Webinar details

Metal Additive Manufacturing (Metal AM) has evolved from an emerging technology into a critical manufacturing capability for industries seeking innovation, efficiency, and competitiveness. As supply chains become more demanding and product complexity increases, conventional manufacturing methods often struggle to meet modern requirements for rapid production, lightweight designs, and customized solutions. Metal AM enables the production of high-performance components with reduced material waste, shorter lead times, and unprecedented design freedom. This presentation explores why Metal AM is no longer an optional technology but a strategic necessity, highlighting its industrial applications, business value, implementation challenges, and the opportunities it creates for the future of manufacturing.

  • The webinar will be recorded and will be sent out to registered attendees afterwards.
  • A certificate of attendance will be provided to attendees who request one near the end of the live webinar session.
  • Please note: the time stated on this event is in UTC. You will need to convert this to your own time zone.

Key takeaways from this webinar

  • Recognize the strategic value of Metal AM – Understand why metal additive manufacturing has become a critical capability for improving competitiveness, innovation, and supply chain resilience.
  • Identify the right applications – Learn which products and industries gain the greatest benefits from Metal AM, including complex geometries, lightweight structures, tooling, heat exchangers, medical implants, and low-volume production.
  • Plan a successful adoption strategy – Gain practical insights into implementing Metal AM, including material selection, design for additive manufacturing (DfAM), quality considerations, cost evaluation, and integration into existing manufacturing workflows.
