What motivated you to pursue a 52872WA Advanced Diploma of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering, and how do you envision this program benefiting your career aspirations? 

I chose this course because of the opportunity to gain a diverse skill set encompassing mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, and control systems.  

This background has fueled my significant career advancement, leading to my current role as a Production Manager within my organization. I believe that pursuing further studies with EIT will continue to propel my career growth and bring substantial benefits. 

Can you describe a challenging project or concept you’ve encountered in your studies, and how you overcame it? 

The group project presented a significant challenge, reaffirming my enthusiasm for collaborative teamwork and problem-solving. This experience greatly motivates me to seek solutions as part of a team. 

In your opinion, what emerging trends or technological advancements are likely to have a significant impact on the field of robotics and mechatronics during your course of study? 

In my view, Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are transformative forces in robotics and mechatronics.  

These technologies are reshaping automation, enhancing the adaptability of robots through learning, and enabling intelligent decision-making. This will revolutionize industries like manufacturing and healthcare, ushering in a new era of automation and problem-solving by highly capable robots. 

How does the practical aspect of the program, such as hands-on lab work or projects, contribute to your understanding of robotics and mechatronics? 

Thanks to lab works, projects, and software that are renowned in the engineering field, EIT provided us with improving and learning new knowledge and skills. 

How do you plan to balance the demands of an 18-month program in robotics and mechatronics with your personal life and other commitments? 

I efficiently organized my schedule thanks to the combination of dayshift work and night classes, allowing me to balance both effectively. 

As you progress through the program, what specific skills or knowledge areas do you aim to strengthen or develop further? 

I am working towards expanding my skill set, particularly in the domains of ML and project management.  

This will involve gaining in-depth knowledge and practical experience in ML techniques and project management methodologies, ultimately preparing me to lead and oversee projects effectively. 

How do you envision leveraging the global network and resources provided by EIT to enhance your learning experience and expand your professional connections in the field? 

I believe that EIT’s extensive global network and available resources can significantly enhance my networking opportunities and make it easier for me to access various courses and work experiences.  

This valuable network and resource access can open doors for me to further develop my skills and knowledge while establishing valuable connections in my field. 

Over the course of your studies, what do you enjoy the most about studying through EIT?  

I thoroughly enjoyed engaging in the practical projects and making the most of the abundant resources provided by EIT.  

These experiences not only allowed me to enhance my skills but also created opportunities for career advancement. This hands-on approach and the wealth of resources at EIT played a crucial role in my professional growth. 

What are your long-term goals in the field of robotics and mechatronics, and how does completing this program at EIT contribute to achieving those goals? 

I am committed to gaining a deeper understanding of automation and honing my skills in project management.  

My goal is to enhance my career prospects and work towards securing a project manager position where I can lead and guide a dedicated team. This pursuit of knowledge and expertise is driven by my ambition for professional growth and leadership in the field.
