A new list of engineering education programs accredited at the levels of Professional Engineer, Engineering Technologist and Engineering Associate by Engineers Australia has been released.

Engineers Australia is the trusted accreditation authority for tertiary engineering education in Australia and abroad.

This means a number of EIT Advanced Diploma, Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degrees are now internationally recognized under the International Engineering Alliance (IEA) accords and the various signatories.

EIT’s Dean of Engineering, Dr Steve Mackay adds the following; “The International Engineering Accords (Dublin, Sydney and Washington) are the bedrock of accreditation of engineering degrees enabling graduates from EIT to work all over the world and to have their qualifications recognized by each signatory country.”

EIT students can study some of these courses online, anywhere in the world and receive an Australian Qualification accredited and endorsed by the Australian government, as well as Engineers Australia.

“We are proud to be recognized with degrees which are now doubly accredited – directly by the Australian Commonwealth Government through their TEQSA Regulator and also by Engineers Australia,” says Mackay.

Indumathi V, Deputy Dean of EIT, shares the sentiment that accredited qualifications are valuable to students.

“An Engineer’s Australia accredited degree is recognized by industry and employers on a global level, as well as ensures the high quality of the program at Dublin, Sydney and Washington accord standard,” she says.

For her, it demonstrates that EIT graduates are industry-ready and meet professional engineering standards. It also enables our graduates with global mobility.
