How the pathway works

Transitioning from an Advanced Diploma to a bachelor degree is simple:

  1. Complete your EIT Advanced Diploma
You’ve already gained technical skills and practical hands-on knowledge.
  1. Apply for your chosen bachelor’s degree
Choose from online or on-campus study modes across several specializations.
  1. Reduce study load and fees
Your credited units reduce your study load and potentially help you graduate sooner.

Flexible study options built for real life

Whether you’re working full-time, managing shift schedules, or returning to study, EIT offers study modes that fit your lifestyle.

  • Online study with live and recorded sessions
  • On-campus learning with access to labs, support teams and peers
  • Part-time or full-time options to match your commitments

No matter where you are in your career, there’s a pathway that works for you.

Not ready for a full bachelor’s degree?

If you want to build confidence before committing to a three-year bachelor’s degree, EIT’s Undergraduate Certificates offer a shorter, focused stepping-stone completed in as little as six months.

Better yet, if you choose to progress to a bachelor’s degree later, the units you complete as part of your undergraduate certificate may also be credited toward your degree.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Credit depends on your qualification and bachelor pathway. Most students receive between 1 and 4 units, applied to specific approved units within the degree.

Yes, all bachelor’s degrees offer online delivery, with select programs also available on-campus.

Receiving credit reduces the number of units you need to complete and lowers your course cost. However, it doesn’t always shorten your degree, as some units are only offered at certain times of the year. Your timeline depends on when your remaining units are scheduled.

Experience is beneficial but not required for entry into the bachelor programs.

If your Advanced Diploma is more than 10 years old, credit can’t be granted. If it’s within 10 years, you can submit an assessment request and our team will confirm your eligibility.
