Finding the right place to study engineering starts with seeing how learning connects to real-world practice. This October 2026, prospective students, career changers, and engineering professionals are invited to explore an industry-focused educational institute, the Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT), designed to build practical skills and support long-term career growth.
There are two events coming up that you would not want to miss! Perth Campus Open Day on the 9th of October and a Virtual Open Week, running from the 12th to the 17th of October 2026.
The Perth Campus Open Day is a free, on-site event taking place on the 9th of October 2026 at EIT’s Perth Campus.
EIT’s Perth Campus Open Day offers visitors the opportunity to experience the campus environment firsthand and gain a deeper understanding of what sets an EIT education apart.
Throughout the day, attendees can tour the facilities, engage with academic and professional staff, and speak with current students about their learning experiences and career journeys. Whether you’re exploring your first engineering qualification, looking to upskill, or considering a career change, the event provides valuable insight into EIT’s practical study options and practical learning approach.
Visitors can also discover the wide range of engineering disciplines available, including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Automation, Instrumentation and Process Control, and Renewable Energy. Designed to help prospective students make informed decisions about their future, the Perth Campus Open Day showcases how EIT’s industry-aligned programs equip graduates with the practical skills and knowledge needed to succeed in today’s engineering workforce.
During the event, visitors can also expect an afternoon of interactive activities designed to showcase EIT’s work integrated approach to engineering education. Event highlights will include:
- Live engineering demonstrations – watch surveying, concrete testing, Probrammabe Logic Controller (PLC) production lines, inverter technology, and mechanical Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining in action. Gain insight into how these technologies are applied across different engineering disciplines.
- Study pathways presentation – Learn about EIT’s admission process, scholarships, engineering programs, and student support services. Find out which study pathways best aligned with your career goals.
- Rolls-Royce Electrical Isolation Remote Lab Experience – Explore EIT’s remote laboratory and see how students perform practical engineering experiments remotely using industry-standard technology.
- Innovation Hub – Discover and learn from student research, case studies, and engineering projects from across EIT’s programs. See how students apply their knowledge through practical work.
- Engineering Challenge Zone – Take part in hands-on engineering activities and interactive challenges. Put your problem-solving skills to the test and compete for prizes.
- Ask Me Anything Hub – Speak with EIT 2026 Student Ambassadors, lecturers, and course advisors. Get your questions answered and receive personalized guidance on study pathways, student life, and engineering careers.
