As the world evolves rapidly, educational institutions are tasked with preparing students for future challenges and opportunities. At the forefront of this mission is the Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT), where Deputy Dean Indumathi V (Indu) is spearheading initiatives to enhance the academic landscape and equip students with cutting-edge skills.

2024 Outlook

Indu sat down with us to discuss some exciting developments planned for 2024 at EIT, including the new courses that EIT will be introducing in the upcoming academic year. With a focus on emerging technologies and sustainable solutions, EIT is gearing up to provide students with a dynamic and forward-thinking educational experience.

One of the key highlights of the discussion was the introduction of courses in Artificial Intelligence (AI) that EIT will be initiating this year. The new AI program will aim to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the complexities of this rapidly advancing field.

Renewable energy is another focal point in EIT’s forward-looking curriculum. Indu underscored the urgency of addressing global environmental challenges and the need for EIT to continuously add value to this sector. EIT hopes to provide students with the expertise to drive innovations in clean energy solutions.

Furthermore, EIT is planning to expand its offerings in Computer Systems Engineering. As technology becomes increasingly integrated into our daily lives, the demand for experts in computer systems engineering continues to rise.

The introduction of courses in AI, renewable energy, and computer systems engineering reflects EIT’s commitment to producing graduates who will drive innovation and make meaningful contributions to the rapidly evolving landscape of engineering and information technologies.

In addition to the implementation of courses, EIT is striving to deliver the optimal educational experience for students. For more updates, please look out for our monthly newsletters and social media updates.
