At the Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT), we are committed to understanding and enhancing the student experience. We recognize the value of firsthand perspectives in shaping our educational programs and services, which is why we reached out to Kashyap.

His insights are invaluable in helping EIT improve and tailor course offerings to meet the diverse needs of our student body.

Kashyap’s Journey at EIT: His Perspective

Graduate student, Kashyap
Contractor Kashyap Maheshkumar

My name is Contracter Kashyap Maheshkumar, and I completed my Master of Engineering (Mechanical) at EIT.

My gratitude for the outstanding experience I had as an international student at your institution is tremendous.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I began my master’s studies online from India. Initially, I was apprehensive about studying online, having never done so before. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the strong support and dedication of the lecturers towards online learning.

Whenever I had questions or needed clarification during my online studies, the lecturers promptly responded with detailed explanations, which greatly enhanced my learning experience at EIT.

Online education not only facilitated my academic growth but also provided ample opportunities for networking with engineers from various countries. The flexibility of the e-laboratory services allowed me to adapt my learning schedule effectively.

After a year, I transitioned to studying on-campus, where I had the opportunity to work on a project titled “One-Cylinder IC Engine with Different Fuels Using ANSYS Software.”

Throughout this project, Professor Vijay Veera served as my supervisor, providing invaluable guidance that significantly enriched my understanding of IC engines and ANSYS software.

The subjects related to software such as AutoCAD and Solidworks played a crucial role in developing the skills required to interpret engineering drawings. These are important in my professional career.

Currently, I am employed in the oil and gas industry as a QA/QC inspector, where the knowledge gained at EIT continues to benefit me daily.

Reflecting on my time at EIT, I would like to suggest enhancing communication with new students by providing notifications about current industry vacancies, market trends, and initial job requirements.

This proactive approach will better prepare students for their future careers in engineering.

Thank you once again for providing me with an exceptional learning experience at EIT. I am proud to be an alumnus of your esteemed institution and look forward to continuing my professional journey with the knowledge and skills acquired during my studies.
