Our engineering pathways for tradespeople are designed for professionals with a Certificate IV or higher and relevant experience. Begin with one of EIT’s 100% online Undergraduate Certificates in Engineering Foundations, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Automation, delivered via live, interactive classes to fit around work and life. Credits can then be carried into a Bachelor of Science (Engineering) in Civil & Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Automation, with advanced standing available for EIT Advanced Diploma holders. Whether you want to broaden technical expertise, move into leadership, or future-proof your career, EIT provides practical, flexible pathways to help you succeed.
Step 1:
Start with an Undergraduate Certificate
Build core knowledge in maths, physics, CAD, programming, and discipline-specific basics. Choose from Engineering Foundations, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Automation.
Step 2:
Carry Credit into a Bachelor (where eligible)
Completed units can count toward your Bachelor, reducing time and tuition. Credit transfer depends on your chosen stream and completed units – Book a call with a Course Advisor to find out how.
Step 3:
Progress to Bachelor of Science
Specialize in Industrial Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil & Structural engineering.
Changing streams is possible, but credit transfer depends on the specific units you’ve completed and the entry requirements for the new program. A Course Advisor can help you explore the best pathway forward.
