Perth, 12/12/2023 – The Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT) is delighted to announce the successful approval of its application for the renewal of registration as an Institute of Higher Education and the attainment of Self-Accrediting Authority (SAA) from the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), the Australian Government’s independent national quality assurance and regulatory agency for higher education.
The approval extends the institute’s registration status for a maximum period of seven years until the 6th December 2030.
Approximately a year ago, EIT submitted comprehensive applications to TEQSA for the renewal of registration as an Institute of Higher Education and the coveted SAA. Today, EIT proudly shares the news that both applications have been approved, marking a significant achievement for the institution.
EIT is only the 14th provider in Australia (and the 8th Institute of Higher Education) to be bestowed with the SAA, indicating TEQSA’s recognition of the strength of EIT’s quality assurance and governance processes. SAA is a substantial responsibility, meaning EIT is now accountable for ensuring compliance across the Higher Education Standards Framework is sustained throughout their higher education operations, including the development, approval, and delivery of our courses.
“TEQSA made these decisions on the basis that it was satisfied that Engineering Institute of Technology Pty Ltd continues to meet the applicable Standards of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021.”
As EIT looks ahead, we anticipate the continued dedication of our team and the positive impact of our higher education programs on students and the broader community.
