IDC Technologies, the sister company of the Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT) is pleased to announce the upcoming LearnTech Conference & Exhibition 2026, taking place on November on the 25th and 26th, at the Parmelia Hilton, Perth, Western Australia. 

LearnTech Conference & Exhibition 2026 will bring together educators, training professionals, industry leaders, and technology specialists to examine how emerging technologies are reshaping education, training, and workforce development. 

Over the years, the event has become a Western Australian forum for exploring the role of technology in modern learning. LearnTech Conference & Exhibition 2026 will focus on artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies that influence classrooms, laboratories, workshops, and digital learning environments.

Attendees will gain insights from real-world case studies across schools, Technical and Further Education Institutions (TAFEs), Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), and industry. They will also explore practical AI tools that reduce workload, strategies to improve learner engagement, insights into future workforce and skills, and approaches to curriculum and training design.

Meet the Keynote Speakers

  • Prof. Sharath Sriram, the Chief Scientist (Western Australia), will deliver an Opening Address presentation on “Building Human Capability in the Age of AI: Reimagining Learning for the Future Workforce”. His presentation will explore how education can prepare learners to thrive alongside AI and other emerging technologies.
  • Andrew Douch, Founder of Evolveducation Pty Ltd, will present a keynote presentation on “AI: Your New Lab Partner” and “Working with your AI Lab Partner”. It will explore practical, classroom-ready AI tools that can support STEM teaching and educator productivity.
  • Luke Irwin, Founder and Principal Consultant at Aegis Cybersecurity, will give a keynote presentation on “Cybersecurity for RTOs: Protecting Student Data, Managing Regulatory Risks and Governing AI”. His session will examine cybersecurity risks facing training organizations and the governance challenges associated with AI adoption

LearnTech Conference & Exhibition 2026 is designed as an interactive experience, with attendees encouraged to bring a laptop for hands-on workshops and demonstrations.

Sessions will explore practical applications of AI across education and training, including AI instructors, curriculum development, STEM teaching, assessment, student engagement, compliance, cybersecurity and workforce development. Attendees will have the opportunities to explore tools and approaches that can be applied within their own organizations.
