Asieh Soltani, EIT Lecturer & Civil Engineer
Asieh is a distinguished Railway Engineer with extensive experience in rail and transit systems, specializing in safety management. Her expertise encompasses developing and implementing comprehensive safety frameworks for rail transport, tramways, and urban transit infrastructure. Asieh has led initiatives in safety audits, design reviews, and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with industry standards while enhancing system reliability and resilience. Her contributions also include master planning, infrastructure optimization, and conducting in-depth safety analyses to advance safer and more efficient railway operations.
In addition to her engineering achievements, Asieh holds a Master’s degree in Natural Disaster Risk Management and a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA). These qualifications equip her with a unique ability to integrate risk mitigation and strategic planning into railway projects. Since joining EIT in 2020, Asieh has been teaching the unit Incident/Accident Investigations and Learning from Disasters, where she shares her expertise and insights to educate the next generation of industry professionals.
