Webinar details
Cybersecurity has emerged as a critical threat to control systems and process safety across various industries. While the implications of cyberattacks on business networks, such as data theft, ransomware, and denial-of-service attacks, are well recognised, the stakes are even higher for Industrial Automation, Operational Technology, and Control Systems.
Attacks on these systems can have significant repercussions, affecting physical processes in the real world. This webinar will utilise case studies to illustrate the potential damage that cyberattacks on Operational Technology can inflict on equipment, the environment, and overall safety. Attendees will gain insight into how cybersecurity threats influence control systems and process safety. The session will explore the effects of cyber events on traditional safeguarding strategies and risk assessment methods, and present essential steps for effectively managing cybersecurity risks.
- The webinar will be recorded and will be sent out to registered attendees afterwards.
- A certificate of attendance will be provided to attendees who request one near the end of the live webinar session.
- Please note: the time stated on this event is in UTC. You will need to convert this to your own time zone.
Key takeaways from this webinar:
- Cyber risks that influence how control systems and process networks need to consider cyber risk management as a consequence of potential hazards.
- How cyberattacks and digital risks on Operational Technology translate into real physical consequences for equipment, the environment, and personnel safety, illustrated through case studies.
- Why traditional safeguarding strategies and risk assessment methods, such as HAZOP and LOPA, need to account for cyber events as a credible initiating cause.
