Can We Deliver Brisbane’s Future? Engineering infrastructure under rising cost, energy, and delivery pressures. Learn more at EngineerConnect Brisbane.

Event Details:

With rapid population growth across Queensland, major infrastructure commitments tied to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and increasing pressure from rising energy, fuel, and construction costs, the challenge isn’t just planning Brisbane’s future, it’s delivering it.

Behind every major project lies a complex web of engineering decisions, risk trade-offs, and real-world constraints. From energy systems and transport networks to large-scale urban developments, engineering professionals are being asked to do more – faster, more sustainably, and under increasing scrutiny.

This panel brings together engineering professionals and industry leaders to unpack the engineering challenge behind growth, energy, and infrastructure, and what it really takes to turn ambitious plans into reality in today’s environment.

Why Attend:

  • Understand the real challenges behind delivering infrastructure in a rapidly growing Brisbane
  • Learn how rising energy, fuel, and construction costs are impacting engineering decisions
  • Gain insight into how engineers balance risk, sustainability, and delivery pressures
  • Discover how major projects are evolving in the lead-up to 2032 and beyond
  • Hear directly from industry experts working on complex, real-world projects

What to expect

  • Panel Discussion: Explore how engineers are responding to growth, energy transition, and increasing delivery pressures, and what this means for infrastructure projects across Brisbane and Queensland.
  • Q&A: Ask your questions directly to industry experts on project delivery, risk management, stakeholder challenges, and future infrastructure priorities.
  • Networking: Connect with peers and senior engineers while enjoying canapés and drinks.
  • Professional Recognition: Receive a digital Certificate of Attendance, potentially eligible for Engineers Australia CPD hours.
