Mastering Electrical Safety: A Comprehensive Workshop on Grounding, Bonding, Lightning, and Surge Protection

Join Avril Adendorff, EIT’s Engineering Consultant, for a comprehensive two-day workshop on mastering the practical skills and knowledge in grounding, bonding, lightning, and surge protection systems. Workshop Objectives:

  • Minimize the Impact of Lightning on Your Facility: Understand lightning protection methods and how to implement them to minimize damage.

Practical Component:

According to Avril Adendorff, no other institution addresses the Earthing issue like EIT does. The practical component and the point of departure of this workshop will involve a site tour of the building, looking at the distribution boards, plugs, lights, and understanding how Earthing plays the overarching role.

Avril Adendorff, Engineering Consultant

Avril Adendorff is an engineering consultant, with over 38 years of experience ranging from Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC), electrical, power quality, earthing of utilities, substation earthing and pumps. 24 years ago, Avril invented and built the unifridge which is currently being used and studied in many universities in South Africa.
