Overview: The EIT LATAM Future Engineers Bursary is an opportunity for aspiring students from Latin America who are passionate about pursuing Bachelor, Master’s or Doctorate-level engineering studies on campus in Australia. The bursary offers financial support to help students achieve their academic and professional goals, and encourages future engineers committed to making a positive impact in their field.

Value: 10% reduction in tuition fees (first year only)

Number offered: On-campus- 5 per year (Melbourne), and on-campus (Perth) – 5 per year

Applicable to: Full fee-paying international students from Latin America commencing an EIT on-campus higher education program in 2026

Delivery locations:  Melbourne and Perth campuses

Note: Cut-off date for the bursary application is 1 month prior to the start date of the course.

  • Be a citizen of a Latin American country
  • Be an international, full fee-paying student without existing scholarships
  • Enrolling in an on-campus Bachelor, Master’s or Doctorate-level engineering program at EIT in 2026
  • Must meet or exceed the English Language Proficiency requirement for the specific course of study
  • Must meet all other academic and entry requirements for the course

Applicants will be selected based on:

  • Meeting course entry requirements
  • A written personal statement (300-500 words) outlining why they believe they deserve the bursary and how it will support their education and future career

  • Please complete and submit the scholarship application form along with your course application. Include a personal statement (300-500 words) and academic transcripts.
  • If you have already submitted your course application you can still send in your Scholarship Application to: scholarships@eit.edu.au.
  • Cut-off date for bursary application is 1 month prior to the start date of the course.

  • 10% tuition fee reduction applied to all units completed in the first two semesters
  • The bursary only covers tuition fees and does not cover any other non-tuition fees or expenses
  • Non-refundable and non-transferable
  • Recipients must pass all units each semester to retain the bursary in semester 2
  • The bursary will be forfeited if the student defers, withdraws, commits academic misconduct, or is identified as at risk, or in cases of non-payment of tuition fees within the required timeframe
  • Not extended beyond the standard course duration
  • Subject to review in case of enrolment changes or additional funding
