Overview: The EIT Chinese Future Engineer Scholarship is designed to support and encourage talented students from China who wish to pursue engineering studies in Australia. This scholarship aims to promote access to high-quality education for future engineers and to strengthen educational pathways between China and EIT. Successful applicants will receive financial assistance to support the first year of their Bachelor, Master, or Doctor-level studies on campus.

Value: 20% reduction in tuition fees (first year only)

Number offered: 5 x on campus scholarships available across all campuses in total for Semester 2 in 2026

Applicable to: Full fee-paying international students with Chinese citizenship commencing an EIT on-campus Bachelor, Master, or Doctor program in 2026

Delivery locations: All on-campus locations (Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane)

Note: Cut-off date for the bursary application is 1 month prior to the start date of the course.

  • Must be a citizen of China
  • Must be an international, full fee-paying student
  • Enrolling in any EIT on-campus Bachelor, Master, or Doctor-level engineering program in 2026
  •  Must meet or exceed the English Language Proficiency requirement for the selected course
  • Must meet all academic and entry requirements for the course
  • Must not be receiving any other scholarship or bursary

 

Applicants will be selected based on:

  • Meeting all academic and course entry requirements
  • Submission of a written personal statement (300–500 words) explaining why they wish to study engineering at EIT, their future engineering aspirations, and how the scholarship will support their goals

  • Please complete and submit the Scholarship Application Form together along with your course application.
  •  If you have already submitted your course application, you may still submit your Scholarship Application Form to: scholarships@eit.edu.au
  • Cut-off date for the bursary application is 1 month prior to the start date of EIT’s course.

 

  • 20% tuition fee reduction applied to all units completed in the first two semesters
  • Covers tuition fees only; does not cover non-tuition or personal expenses
  • Non-refundable and non-transferable
  • Recipients must pass all units in the first semester to retain the scholarship for the second semester
  • The bursary will be forfeited if the student defers, withdraws, commits academic misconduct, is identified as at risk, or in cases of non-payment of tuition fees within the required timeframe
  • Not extended beyond the standard course duration
  • Subject to review in case of enrolment changes or additional funding
