SUMMARY:Partial Discharge Essentials: Testing Methodologies and Practical Application for Real-World Assets
DESCRIPTION:Webinar details\nThis webinar provides a comprehensive technical foundation in Partial Discharge (PD) analysis\, beginning with a deep dive into the fundamental physics of the phenomenon within electrical assets. We will explore the mechanics of how PD manifests (including internal\, surface\, and corona discharges) and identify the specific energy byproducts emitted by each\, such as electromagnetic waves\, acoustic signals\, and chemical tracers. By establishing a direct link between the discharge type and its physical signature\, this webinar will provide a clear framework for selecting the appropriate sensing technologies required to accurately detect\, localize\, and assess the severity of insulation defects. \nThe presentation further examines the practical application of these diagnostic tools across a wide variety of assets\, specifically addressing the inherent strengths and weaknesses of each test method. We will evaluate how the availability and efficacy of different methodologies are fundamentally dictated by the specific equipment type\, ranging from transformers and switchgear to overhead assets and cable networks. The goal is to identify when specific sensors become non-viable due to an asset’s configuration\, ensuring the chosen diagnostic approach is technically valid for the diverse hardware found in the field. \n\nThe webinar will be recorded and will be sent out to registered attendees afterwards.\nA certificate of attendance will be provided to attendees who request one near the end of the live webinar session.\nPlease note: the time stated on this event is in UTC. You will need to convert this to your own time zone.\n\nKey takeaways from this webinar\n\nGain a comprehensive understanding of the physics behind partial discharge\, the main types of partial discharge and how it is detected.\nLearn the testing methodologies available and the sensing technologies used to detect partial discharge\, including the strengths and weaknesses of each test method and sensor.\nUnderstand how asset type and construction play a role in determining the most effective diagnostic approach to PD testing with regards to choice of sensor and its efficacy.\n\nRelated courses\nThis webinar/topic relates to our school of Electrical Engineering and is particularly found in the following courses: \n\nProfessional Certificate of Competency in Power Distribution\n52888WA Advanced Diploma of Applied Electrical Engineering (Power Industry)\nBachelor of Science (Electrical Engineering)\nGraduate Certificate in Power Engineering\nGraduate Certificate in Power System Analysis and Design\nAssociate Degree in Electrical Engineering\nMaster of Engineering (Electrical Systems)\nMaster of Engineering – Applied Research (Electrical Systems)\n\nAbout the presenter\n \nThomas Whyte\, Senior Engineer\n \nThomas is the Senior Engineer at EA Technology Australia and works with utilities and businesses to maintain safe\, reliable and efficient power networks. SUMMARY:The Relay That Refused to See a Short
DESCRIPTION:Emeritus Professor Akhtar Kalam’s Electrifying Mysteries\nThis webinar series provides a structured examination of real-world engineering challenges. Each session will address specific\, technically focused topics relevant to professional engineers. \nWebinar details\nProtection relays are engineered to detect and isolate faults within milliseconds\, but real-world systems don’t always behave as expected. This webinar explores a compelling case where a genuine short circuit occurred\, yet the relay failed to operate. From this failure\, we uncover deeper technical issues\, including CT saturation\, incorrect relay settings\, wiring polarity errors\, and distorted fault waveforms. \nParticipants will be guided through a structured forensic analysis of the incident\, using disturbance records\, a review of protection logic\, and system modelling. This session is designed to bridge the gap between theoretical protection design and field realities\, equipping engineers with the skills to diagnose and prevent similar failures. \n\nThe webinar will be recorded and will be sent out to registered attendees afterwards.\nA certificate of attendance will be provided to attendees who request one near the end of the live webinar session.\nPlease note: the time stated on this event is in UTC. You will need to convert this to your own time zone.\n\nKey takeaways from this webinar\n\nUnderstand how CT saturation and signal distortion can prevent fault detection\n Identify critical relay setting and coordination errors\n Analyze fault records and disturbance data effectively\nApply a systematic approach to diagnosing protection failures\n\nRelated courses\nThis webinar/topic relates to our school of Electrical Engineering and is particularly found in the following courses: \n\n52888WA Advanced Diploma of Applied Electrical Engineering (Power Industry)\n52892WA Advanced Diploma of Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Engineering in Mining\n52883WA Advanced Diploma of Applied Electrical Engineering (Electrical Systems)\nProfessional Certificate of Competency in Power Distribution\nProfessional Certificate of Competency in Electrical Wiring Standards: AS/NZS 3000:2018 (Australia and New Zealand Only)\nProfessional Certificate of Competency in Hazardous Areas and Intrinsic Safety For Engineers and Technicians\nOnline – Bachelor of Science (Electrical Engineering)\nMaster of Engineering (Electrical Systems)\n\nTo learn more about tuition fees\, please click here. \nAbout the presenter\n \nEmeritus Professor Akhtar Kalam \nBSc\, BScEng\, MS\, PhD\, FIET\, CEng\, FAIE\, FIEAust\, CPEng\, NER\, APEC Engineer\, IntPE(Aus)\, PEV\, MCIGRE\, Life Senior Member of IEEE. \nProfessor Akhtar Kalam is a supervisor of EIT’s Doctoral students. SUMMARY:The Capacitor Bank That Blew Itself Up Quietly
DESCRIPTION:Emeritus Professor Akhtar Kalam’s Electrifying Mysteries\nThis webinar series provides a structured examination of real-world engineering challenges. Each session will address specific\, technically focused topics relevant to professional engineers. \nWebinar details\nCapacitor banks play a vital role in power factor correction and voltage stability\, but their failures are often subtle\, internal\, and devastating. This webinar examines a real-world case in which a capacitor bank failed without any obvious warning\, ultimately resulting in internal damage and rupture. \nThe session explores key contributing factors\, including harmonic resonance\, switching transients\, dielectric breakdown\, and thermal stress. Participants will gain insights into why traditional protection schemes may fail to detect early-stage deterioration and how system-level interactions can create dangerous conditions. \n\nThe webinar will be recorded and will be sent out to registered attendees afterwards.\nA certificate of attendance will be provided to attendees who request one near the end of the live webinar session.\nPlease note: the time stated on this event is in UTC. You will need to convert this to your own time zone.\n\nKey takeaways from this webinar\n\nUnderstand harmonic resonance and its impact on capacitor bank health.\nIdentify early indicators of capacitor degradation and failure.\nAnalyse switching transients and overvoltage effects.\nImplement improved monitoring and protection strategies.\n\nRelated courses\nThis webinar/topic relates to our school of Electrical Engineering and is particularly found in the following courses: \n\nProfessional Certificate of Competency in Circuit Breakers\, Switchgear & Power Transformers\n52894WA Advanced Diploma of Applied Electrical Engineering (Renewable Energy)\n52888WA Advanced Diploma of Applied Electrical Engineering (Power Industry)\n52883WA Advanced Diploma of Applied Electrical Engineering (Electrical Systems)\nOnline – Bachelor of Science (Electrical Engineering)\nMaster of Engineering (Electrical Systems)\n\nTo learn more about tuition fees\, please click here. \nAbout the presenter\n \nEmeritus Professor Akhtar Kalam \nBSc\, BScEng\, MS\, PhD\, FIET\, CEng\, FAIE\, FIEAust\, CPEng\, NER\, APEC Engineer\, IntPE(Aus)\, PEV\, MCIGRE\, Life Senior Member of IEEE. \nProfessor Akhtar Kalam is a supervisor of EIT’s Doctoral students. SUMMARY:Why You Cannot Regrade EN 10025 JR Material to J2 Material With Charpy Impact Testing
DESCRIPTION:Webinar details\nThis webinar tackles a widespread but dangerous industry myth: that EN 10025 JR steel can be “upgraded” to J2 simply by passing a few low-temperature impact tests. It explains\, in clear metallurgical terms\, why this is fundamentally flawed. JR and J2 are not interchangeable grades\, they are produced differently at a microscopic level\, with J2 specifically engineered for reliable performance at -20°C\, while JR is only qualified at +20°C. The webinar shows how differences in deoxidation\, inclusion content\, grain structure\, and manufacturing processes result in vastly different and inconsistent toughness behavior\, meaning a single passing test does not guarantee real-world performance. \nMore importantly\, it highlights the real-world consequences: structural failure risk\, non-compliance\, and potentially catastrophic outcomes when materials behave unpredictably in cold or dynamic conditions. The message is blunt\, this practice is common\, but it is technically wrong and “highly dangerous.” \nThis webinar is essential for engineers\, fabricators\, QA professionals\, and anyone specifying or testing structural steel. It doesn’t just explain the theory; it exposes a risky industry habit and replaces it with sound metallurgical understanding. If your work involves compliance\, safety\, or liability\, this session gives you the knowledge to challenge bad practices\, protect your projects\, and make defensible engineering decisions. \n\nThe webinar will be recorded and will be sent out to registered attendees afterwards.\nA certificate of attendance will be provided to attendees who request one near the end of the live webinar session.\nPlease note: the time stated on this event is in UTC. You will need to convert this to your own time zone.\n\nKey takeaways from this webinar\n\n JR ≠ J2 – they are fundamentally different materials: The difference is not just a test temperature. J2 steel is manufactured to achieve reliable toughness at -20°C\, while JR is only qualified at +20°C. This comes from differences in metallurgy (grain structure\, inclusions\, deoxidation)\, not something you can “fix” afterward.\nPassing a Charpy test does NOT upgrade the material: A single (or even a few) impact test results do not represent the full variability of the material. JR steel can occasionally pass J2 test conditions by chance\, but this does not mean it will behave consistently in service.\nVariability and unpredictability are the real risks: JR material has a much wider scatter in toughness at low temperatures. Even if one sample performs well\, another from the same batch may fail. That unpredictability is the core danger.\nRegrading is technically incorrect and non-compliant: Reclassifying JR as J2 based on testing alone goes against the intent of EN 10025 and proper material certification practices. It creates a false sense of compliance.\n The consequences can be severe: Using incorrectly regraded material can lead to brittle fracture\, especially in cold or dynamic loading conditions\, potentially resulting in structural failure.\n This is a common but risky industry practice: The seminar emphasizes that this happens more often than people admit\, which makes awareness and proper understanding even more important.\nBottom line: You cannot “test your way” from JR to J2. If you need J2 performance\, you must specify and procure J2 material from the start.\n\nRelated courses\nThis webinar/topic relates to our school of Mechanical Engineering and is particularly found in the following courses: \n\nProfessional Certificate of Competency in Advanced Plant Maintenance and AI-Driven Predictive Technologies\nBachelor of Science (Mechanical Engineering)\nGraduate Certificate in Mechanical Engineering\nMaster of Engineering (Mechanical)\n\nAbout the presenter\n \nDr Janet Cotton\, PhD\, Pr Eng\, Managing Director and Owner of One Eighty Materials Engineering Solutions\n \nFrom the moment she launched One Eighty Materials Engineering Solutions at just 28 years old\, Dr Janet Cotton has been rewriting the rules of engineering in Africa. What began as a bold idea to bring engineering rigor to real-world problems has grown into Africa’s most widely scoped ISO 17025:2017-accredited materials and metallurgical testing laboratory\, a technical powerhouse trusted by industries across the continent and around the globe. \nJanet is more than a founder; she is a pioneer of industrial resilience and forensic engineering. Under her leadership\, One Eighty has become the go-to name for solving the toughest engineering challenges\, from catastrophic component failures to complex materials selection problems\, helping businesses protect infrastructure\, save costs and de-risk major capital projects. \nRecognizing the urgent need for technical leadership on the continent\, Dr Cotton conceived and propelled the Root Cause Analysis Africa (RCA Africa) conference — the first forum of its kind dedicated to failure investigation\, materials engineering and risk mitigation in Africa’s industrial ecosystem. This landmark event brings together engineers\, insurers\, legal experts\, financiers and asset managers to build the technical capacity our economies so desperately need. \nHer vision continues to shape the 2nd RCA Africa Conference\, creating a platform where collaboration catalyzes innovation\, resilience and sustainable growth for African infrastructure and industry. \nAs a driving force behind Materialia Africa et al.\, a leading engineering publication that highlights cutting-edge developments\, conferences and case studies\, including cover features celebrating the transformative RCA Africa movement — Janet has put materials science at the heart of Africa’s industrial narrative. Her leadership in editorial direction\, strategic insight and technical storytelling is shaping how the continent talks about engineering excellence. \n\n \n \n Event Registration\n \n "*" indicates required fields \n \n \n Complete the form below to receive further information about this event.\n\n\n Complete the form below.\n Follow the email instructions to gain access to your event.\n \n\n*If you do not see the email in a few minutes\, check your “junk mail” or “spam” folder.\n \n If you need assistance\, please contact us \nFirst name*Last name*Email*\n \n Phone*Country*Select your countryAfghanistanÅland IslandsAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCambodiaCameroonCanadaCape VerdeCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongo\, Democratic Republic of theCongo\, Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCote d`IvoireCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzech RepublicDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatini (Swaziland)EthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People`s Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacauMacedoniaMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth KoreaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine\, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRéunionRomaniaRussiaRwandaSaint BarthélemySaint HelenaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSint MaartenSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth GeorgiaSouth KoreaSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan Mayen IslandsSwedenSwitzerlandSyriaTaiwanTajikistanTanzaniaThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkeyTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesUruguayUS Minor Outlying IslandsUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaVietnamVirgin Islands\, BritishVirgin Islands\, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabweStateQueenslandNews South WalesACTVictoriaTasmaniaSouth AustraliaWestern AustraliaNorthern TerritoryUS StateAlabamaAlaskaAmerican SamoaArizonaArkansasCaliforniaColoradoConnecticutDelawareDistrict of ColumbiaFloridaGeorgiaGuamHawaiiIdahoIllinoisIndianaIowaKansasKentuckyLouisianaMaineMarylandMassachusettsMichiganMinnesotaMississippiMissouriMontanaNebraskaNevadaNew HampshireNew JerseyNew MexicoNew YorkNorth CarolinaNorth DakotaNorthern Mariana IslandsOhioOklahomaOregonPennsylvaniaPuerto RicoRhode IslandSouth CarolinaSouth DakotaTennesseeTexasUtahU.S. Virgin IslandsVermontVirginiaWashingtonWest VirginiaWisconsinWyomingArmed Forces AmericasArmed Forces EuropeArmed Forces PacificEIT Promotions Subscribe\n \n I would like to receive email updates from EIT about engineering courses\, offers\, events\, webinars\, newsletters\, and other relevant information. SUMMARY:High Voltage Conference 2026
DESCRIPTION:Conference Overview: 13 Years of Bringing High Voltage Industry Together \n(Conference Update: The program will be released on Thursday\, 26th March 2026.) \nHigh voltage systems sit at the heart of modern industry. From transmission networks and utilities for mining operations\, manufacturing plants\, and critical infrastructure\, these systems power the assets that keep Australia operating. \nFor engineers responsible for designing\, maintaining\, and protecting this infrastructure\, the work is complex\, and the consequences of failure are significant. Understanding how equipment behaves in the field\, how systems fail\, and how engineers resolve these challenges is essential. Thirteen years ago\, IDC Technologies\, an Australian-owned engineering training company\, identified the need for a dedicated forum where high voltage engineers could come together to exchange knowledge and practical experience. As a small-to-medium-sized Australian enterprise working closely with industry\, IDC Technologies recognises the importance of ongoing professional development and technical training in just two days. The High Voltage Conference was established to provide a platform where engineers can learn from leading experts\, gain practical insights\, and stay up to date with the rapidly changing technologies shaping the industry. \nFirst launched in Brisbane\, the conference has grown into a well-respected technical gathering for the engineering community. A defining feature of the conference is its speaker program. \nThe speakers are not simply presenting theory; they are engineers and specialists who work directly with high voltage systems every day. Drawing on experience from utilities\, industry\, research organisations and leading equipment manufacturers\, they share current stories\, technical investigations and lessons learned from the field. Presentations examine practical challenges\, including equipment failures\, testing and diagnostics\, commissioning experiences\, emerging technologies\, and strategies to enhance reliability and safety in high-voltage systems. This year’s programme also includes two international experts\, offering global insights and perspectives on the evolving challenges and innovations in the high-voltage sector\, how Australia compare\, what we are doing well\, and what can be done better. \nBeyond the technical presentations\, the conference offers a valuable opportunity to connect with like-minded colleagues from across Australia and around the world\, share experiences\, and build relationships within the community. \nAfter thirteen years\, the objective remains the same: to provide a high-quality environment where engineers can upskill\, share knowledge\, and strengthen the reliability of high voltage assets and systems across the industry. \nKey technical topics include: \n\nTransformer diagnostics and reliability\, including oil analysis\, dissolved gas analysis\, and electrical testing techniques\nIntegrated condition monitoring of high-voltage assets\, combining online and offline diagnostic methods\nProtection coordination and modern digital protection systems\nArc flash hazard assessment in complex HV/LV networks\nRisk modelling for transformer explosions and arc discharge events\nDesigning condition monitoring into new high-voltage assets\nMapping and inspection of buried high-voltage infrastructure\nDecarbonisation of networks through SF₆-free switchgear technologies\nThe role of standards and regulatory frameworks in Australia’s high-voltage sector\n\nThe program also features a panel of Australian energy safety regulators\, providing a unique opportunity to hear directly from regulatory authorities about emerging safety priorities\, policy developments\, and industry expectations. \nThroughout the conference\, presenters will share practical case studies\, diagnostic techniques\, engineering methodologies\, and lessons from current projects\, helping delegates better understand how to manage risk\, extend asset life\, and improve the reliability of critical electrical infrastructure. \n\nWhat You’ll Gain From Attending:\n\nGain practical knowledge from real-world engineering experience – Hear case studies and technical presentations from engineers working directly with high-voltage systems in utilities\, mining\, industrial facilities\, and critical infrastructure.\nImprove transformer reliability and diagnostics – Learn how techniques such as dissolved gas analysis (DGA)\, oil testing\, and electrical diagnostics can provide early warning of faults and help extend the life of critical assets.\nUnderstand modern approaches to condition monitoring – Explore how integrated monitoring techniques\, including partial discharge diagnostics and advanced testing methods\, are helping organisations move from time-based maintenance to condition-based strategies.\nStrengthen asset management strategies – Discover practical approaches to improving asset management\, identifying the most effective investments\, and shifting from reactive maintenance to structured\, long-term reliability planning.\nEnhance safety and risk management – Gain a deeper understanding of arc flash hazards\, transformer explosion risks\, and protection coordination strategies that directly impact worker safety and system reliability.\nLearn about emerging technologies shaping the sector – Hear about the role of IoT sensors\, AI analytics\, and SF₆-free switchgear in modernising power infrastructure and supporting the transition toward more sustainable energy systems.\nUnderstand regulatory expectations and industry standards – Hear directly from Australian energy safety regulators and learn how evolving standards and regulatory frameworks influence engineering practice and operational decision-making.\nConnect with industry peers and experts – Engage with fellow engineers\, utilities\, manufacturers\, and industry specialists to exchange experiences\, discuss challenges\, and build valuable professional networks\n\nFrom the United Kingdom\, the keynote presentation “Beyond Maintenance: Driving Value at Every Stage” will examine how to move beyond reactive maintenance and develop structured asset management strategies that create value across the entire lifecycle of high-voltage infrastructure. The session will focus on practical steps organisations can take to improve decision-making\, prioritise investment\, and optimise long-term asset performance. Plus a dedicated workshop on Day 3. \nFrom Norway\, delegates will hear a highly specialised presentation on Risk Analysis for Transformer Explosion and Arc Discharge Modelling. This session will explore how high-energy electrical faults can lead to arc discharges and transformer explosions\, and how advanced modelling techniques can be used to assess risk\, improve facility design\, and enhance worker safety in high-voltage environments. \nTogether\, these international contributions bring valuable global experience and proven engineering approaches\, complementing the strong line-up of Australian experts and industry practitioners. \nThis conference will unveil case studies and technical papers to support the industry in new ways of working. We are excited to share them with you very soon.  \nThe IDC Technologies High Voltage Conference has become a key fixture on the industry’s professional development calendar. Now in its 13th year\, the Conference returns in July 2026 at Rydges South Bank\, Brisbane\, offering an essential platform for professionals working with high voltage (HV) systems across sectors such as mining\, industrial plants\, oil and gas\, and utilities. \nThis conference will feature cutting-edge technologies\, research\, and real-world case studies in HV design\, testing\, installation\, commissioning\, maintenance and earthing. \nDiscussions will cover a broad spectrum of HV components and equipment\, including substations\, cables\, transformers\, and switchgear. With a strong focus on sustainability and reliability\, the event will address key challenges in HV equipment maintenance and present forward-thinking solutions aligned with industry standards\, regulations\, and strategic maintenance programs. \n\nInterested in sponsorship? SUMMARY:The Motor That Wouldn’t Start - Unless It Was Empty
DESCRIPTION:Emeritus Professor Akhtar Kalam’s Electrifying Mysteries\nThis webinar series provides a structured examination of real-world engineering challenges. Each session will address specific\, technically focused topics relevant to professional engineers. \nWebinar details\nElectric motors are expected to start reliably under designed load conditions\, but what happens when they don’t? This webinar presents a case where a motor consistently failed to start under load yet operated flawlessly when uncoupled. The investigation reveals a complex interplay between electrical supply limitations\, starting torque requirements\, protection settings\, and mechanical load characteristics. \nThrough this case study\, participants will explore both the electrical and mechanical aspects of motor-starting problems\, gaining practical tools for diagnosing and resolving these issues in industrial environments. \n\nThe webinar will be recorded and will be sent out to registered attendees afterwards.\nA certificate of attendance will be provided to attendees who request one near the end of the live webinar session.\nPlease note: the time stated on this event is in UTC. You will need to convert this to your own time zone.\n\nKey takeaways from this webinar\n\nUnderstand the relationship between starting torque\, load inertia\, and voltage drop.\nDifferentiate between electrical and mechanical causes of starting failure.\nEvaluate the impact of protection settings during motor startup.\nApply practical troubleshooting techniques to improve motor reliability.\n\nRelated courses\nThis webinar/topic relates to our school of Electrical Engineering and is particularly found in the following courses: \n\nProfessional Certificate of Competency in Circuit Breakers\, Switchgear & Power Transformers\nProfessional Certificate of Competency in Fundamentals of Electric Vehicles\n52894WA Advanced Diploma of Applied Electrical Engineering (Renewable Energy)\n52888WA Advanced Diploma of Applied Electrical Engineering (Power Industry)\n52883WA Advanced Diploma of Applied Electrical Engineering (Electrical Systems)\nMaster of Engineering (Electrical Systems)\n\nTo learn more about tuition fees\, please click here. \nAbout the presenter\n \nEmeritus Professor Akhtar Kalam \nBSc\, BScEng\, MS\, PhD\, FIET\, CEng\, FAIE\, FIEAust\, CPEng\, NER\, APEC Engineer\, IntPE(Aus)\, PEV\, MCIGRE\, Life Senior Member of IEEE. \nProfessor Akhtar Kalam is a supervisor of EIT’s Doctoral students. SUMMARY:LearnTech Conference and Exhibition Perth 2026
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nSince its inception in 2022\, the LearnTech Conference & Exhibition has firmly established itself as Western Australia’s premier technology in education event. Over the past three years\, it has featured expert speakers and showcased the latest innovations in educational technology\, earning widespread acclaim from educators for its engaging content and valuable learning opportunities. The event has become a key platform for professional development\, networking\, and discovering new strategies to enhance teaching and training. \nIn 2025\, we’ll be working behind the scenes on an exciting transformation to make LearnTech even bigger and better when it returns in 2026. A major highlight of this evolution is the introduction of free exhibition entry for all educators\, making it easier than ever to access the latest insights\, tools\, and connections without financial barriers. This change is expected to attract a broader audience from schools\, TAFEs\, RTOs\, universities\, government\, and industries such as mining\, construction\, and infrastructure. \nWith larger audiences\, expanded exhibitor showcases\, and even more opportunities to connect with industry leaders\, LearnTech 2026 will offer an unparalleled experience for educators looking to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving world of education technology. \nVisit the EVENT PAGE for more details. \nRegister your interest in attending\, presenting\, or exhibiting by emailing conferences@idc-online.com. \nBe part of the future of education and training—join us at LearnTech 2026! \nLearnTech Awards\nAre you an individual or organisation making significant strides in the fields of education\, technology\, and innovation?
