This course covers various renewable energy systems that are popular in industry and explores the operation and control of renewable integration. It is designed for engineers who work with electrical systems involving the utilization of renewable energy. \nThe objective of this course is to impart detailed knowledge of the design and planning of power generation using renewable sources\, along with the role of power electronics as part of renewable energy systems. \nSustainable energy is a concept which needs to be reinforced in the interest of preserving the environment and is going to continue being a significant focus area for future decades. After military service\, he joined ISCOR\, focusing on HT/LT distribution systems\, motor testing equipment\, and variable speed drives. In 1981\, he moved to the Chamber of Mines Research Organization\, managing projects related to mechanized mining equipment and electrical systems in deep-level gold mines\, and was promoted to Engineering Branch Manager in 1987. \nIn 1988\, he co-founded TLC Software to develop engineering software solutions for industrial markets. Terry has contributed to designing electrical power quality recorders\, engine protection systems\, and medical electronics. \nA senior member of SAIEE\, a member of IEEE\, and an author of numerous technical papers\, he holds BComm and MBL degrees from UNISA.
