SUMMARY:Industry 4.0 Meets Society 5.0 in the Era of Digital Transformation
DESCRIPTION:The live presentation of this event has already taken place. \nPlease view the presentation here or watch the video recording below:\n \nWebinar details\nAs we navigate through the 21st century\, the fusion of cyber-physical systems and the integration of digital technologies in all sectors are revolutionizing the way we live\, work\, and interact. Industry 4.0\, characterized by automation\, data exchange\, manufacturing technologies\, and the Internet of Things (IoT)\, has set the stage for unprecedented efficiency and productivity in the industrial sector. Meanwhile\, Society 5.0\, a concept originating from Japan\, envisions a human-centered society that balances economic advancement with the resolution of social problems through a system that highly integrates cyberspace and physical space. \nIn this webinar\, we will delve into the intricacies of these paradigms\, exploring how digital industrial transformation can lead to societal advancements. We will cover the role of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence\, robotics\, and the Internet of Things (IoT) in creating smarter\, more efficient production systems and how these advancements can address pressing societal challenges. We will also provide insights into the current trends\, challenges\, and opportunities at the intersection of these revolutionary concepts. We aim to demystify how digital industrial transformation is shaping a new societal framework as well as highlight the critical role of cross-sector collaboration\, ethical considerations\, and policy-making in achieving a balanced digital industrial transformation that benefits all spheres of society. \n\nThe webinar will be recorded and will be sent out to registered attendees afterwards.\nA certificate of attendance will be provided to attendees who request one near the end of the live webinar session.\nPlease note: the time stated on this event is in UTC. You will need to convert this to your own time zone.\n\nKey takeaways from this webinar\n\nCyber-Physical Systems Integration: Seamless integration of IoT\, AI\, and robotics in Industry 4.0 to enhance efficiency while aligning with Society 5.0 goals for sustainable and human-centric solutions.\nInterdisciplinary Collaboration: Foster partnerships across technology developers\, industry leaders\, policymakers\, and academic researchers to drive innovation and ensure equitable digital transformation outcomes.\nEthical AI and Data Privacy: Implement advanced ethical frameworks and privacy protocols in AI systems and data management to prioritize individual rights and societal welfare in the technological landscape.\n\nRelated courses\nThis webinar/topic relates to our school of Industrial Automation\, Instrumentation and Process Control and is particularly found in the following courses: \n\n52911WA Graduate Certificate in Internet of Things (IoT) for Engineering (Foundations)\n52886WA Advanced Diploma of Industrial Automation Engineering\n52872WA Advanced Diploma of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering\nOnline – Bachelor of Science (Industrial Automation Engineering)\nOnline – Master of Engineering (Industrial Automation)\n\nTo learn more about tuition fees\, please click here. \nAbout the presenter\n \nDr. Akhlaqur Rahman\, EIT Lecturer & Course Coordinator \nDr. Akhlaqur Rahman (AK)\, SMIEEE\, MIEAust is currently a Lecturer and Program Coordinator at Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT).
