His expertise spans the construction\, operation\, maintenance\, and asset management of power generation facilities\, LV/HV substations\, and power networks for plants\, pumping stations\, and transfer stations. Imtiaz excels in diagnosing issues and implementing solutions to maintain optimal system performance. \nHe acts as the primary contact for capital projects\, liaising effectively with design offices\, project management teams (PMT)\, and other stakeholders throughout the project life cycle. His leadership has been pivotal in developing multiple phases of projects totaling up to 26 GW of combined solar\, wind\, and gas power generating capacity\, equivalent to producing over 90 terawatt hours per year. \nImtiaz conducts thorough reviews of design basis scoping documents to ensure alignment with project requirements and objectives. His responsibilities include leading the design of substations and transmission lines\, including layout\, equipment selection\, and protection system design\, ensuring compliance with standards and specifications. Additionally\, he designs LV and HV transformers\, selecting appropriate ratings and configurations based on project requirements. \nHe evaluates project proposals for feasibility\, cost-effectiveness\, and compliance with standards. Imtiaz provides detailed feedback on design packages\, offering recommendations for improvements and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. He also leads technoeconomic analysis efforts for renewable energy and power systems\, from project origination to the design phase\, utilizing advanced tools such as PLEXOS\, PyPSA\, ETAP\, and Powerfactory.
