SUMMARY:Earthing Conference UK
DESCRIPTION:Due to the outstanding success of the 2022 Earthing Conference UK\, IDC Technologies are excited to announce that we are returning to Birmingham in 2023. \nOverview\nFew topics generate as much controversy and debate as that of earthing and the associated topics of bonding\, grounding\, surge protection\, shielding and lightning protection of electrical and electronic systems. Poor earthing practices can be the cause of continual and intermittent difficult-to-diagnose problems in a facility. This conference will explore these issues from a fresh yet practical perspective to help delegates reduce expensive downtime in their plant and/or equipment by identifying the correct application of these principles. \nThe aim of this conference is to demystify the subject of earthing and present the subject in a clear\, straightforward manner. Earthing as a subject has been under-represented over the years and this event will attempt to remedy the gaps in technical knowledge and improve practices in the industry. The UK & Europe need a unified practical approach to earthing which can be commonly understood and widely applied. \n\nConference topics include \n\nEarthing System Modelling Hands-on Workshop\nCase Study: Going Underground: Earthing of Tunnel Systems for HS2\nEarthing Design and Safety\nMeasuring the Resistivity of Crushed Rock in Existing HV Substations\nEarthing\, grounding and bonding in static electricity and electrostatic discharge (ESD) avoidance\nRolling Sphere Analysis for Large and Complex Structures\nDistribution Transformer Earthing – HV and LV Earth Interconnections and HOT sites\n\n\nBenefits of Attending\n\nBecome familiar with innovative approaches to Earthing & Grounding\nGain an understanding Earthing on a global scale\nLearn about the latest technologies and research relating to Earthing\nA great opportunity to network with industry colleagues\nHear from industry experts on the latest technology and information on Earthing\nHear and see innovative presenters and learn the emerging trends in the Earthing and Grounding industry\n\n\nFeedback from 2022\n•    “Well done\, great conference”\n•    “Cannot say enough positive things about the conference”\n•    “A very interesting couple of days with insightful presentations from knowledgeable speakers”\n•    “A really good balance of theoretical and practical sessions”\n•    “Well organised conference”\n•    “Good overview of earthing”\n•    “Excellent event and subject matter”\n•    “All sessions were valuable”\n•    “Great attendance from a wide range of industry” \n\nRegistrations for Delegates\nRegister as an individual or register as a group. \nYour conference ticket includes: \n\nTwo-day conference\, including a workshop\nFull catering\nNetworking soirée held on Friday 5th May\nDelegate bag with printed conference manual / papers\nAccess to network with sponsors\, exhibitors and speakers throughout the conference breaks\nA copy of the presentations & papers will be sent in PDF form post conference\n\nVenue: Park Regis Birmingham\, 160 Broad Street B15 1DT\nhttps://www.parkregisbirmingham.co.uk/ \n\n2023 Event Sponsors
