This Graduate Certificate in Industrial Instrumentation and Process Control will provide you with an opportunity to develop your expertise in process engineering, gain in-depth understanding of process control for automated industrial systems and analyze problems related to industrial instrumentation as well as gain a deep understanding of the key principles ranging from nature of multivariable systems, process models to interaction analysis, loop pairing and relative gain arrays.
It offers an opportunity for industry professionals in the field to review, refresh and enhance their knowledge and skills in Industrial Instrumentation and Process Control without having to complete a full Master’s degree.
The Graduate Certificate in Industrial Instrumentation and Process Control covers knowledge and skills underpinning the principles of unit operations, unit processes, fluid transport, and control required to apply these principles to Industrial control and instrumentation systems and make the systems efficient through Engineering solutions.
The learning outcomes of the course is designed to equip students with professional engineering skills and knowledge to model solutions to address the issues in automating industrial operations, design the system in an efficient manner through application of these concepts, communicate the solutions effectively and develop the problem-solving skills essential to good engineering practice.
You must complete 12 credit points comprising four core units. There are no electives in this program. The program duration is six months across two terms, and you will study two units per term. For further study, graduates may consider EIT’s Master of Engineering (Industrial Automation).
