We also have the UET60221 Advanced Diploma of ESI – Power Systems (Australia & New Zealand Only). You may check with one of our Course Advisors which course is right for you by using the Live Chat function or contacting us.
This diploma qualification provides the skills and knowledge required to work in the electricity supply industry (ESI) as a High Voltage (HV) Substation Project Manager or a Senior Systems Operator or a Power Systems Technical Officer. Upon completion of this program, you will gain skills and knowledge in the latest and developing technologies in electricity supply and power systems.
This diploma covers overseeing the construction of electrical substations and related projects within the electricity supply industry (ESI). It also includes managing personnel, the business aspects of projects, and giving specialist advice to deal with day-to-day issues and problems. The skills and knowledge described within the units in this qualification may require a license or permit to practice in the workplace. Additional and/or other conditions may also apply under state and territory legislative and regulatory licensing requirements, which must be confirmed before commencing the qualification.
Both the diploma and the advanced diploma qualifications are made up of a series of core and elective units. The requirements for granting the diploma qualification will be met when competency is demonstrated and achieved for:
The core units are listed below, and all of them are mandatory to complete as part of the diploma. Completion of unit UEENEEE083A is also required as part of the advanced diploma.
The three elective streams of each course allow students to specialize and develop careers in one of the following challenging and exciting fields:
It is possible to combine units from these three streams to develop a more general background; this will be dependent upon your own work circumstances and is determined case-by-case.
