This program has been tailored to meet the needs of the engineering industry. You will gain the necessary leadership and management skills in areas such as problem solving, critical thinking, developing business and operational plans, people management, business risk management and organisational digital strategy.

The program is composed of 10 units of competency, which will be delivered over 12 months. Each unit includes weekly live and interactive webinars with an experienced lecturer, set readings, and assessments comprising of either written assignments, quizzes, or short activities.

This program is designed for those working in an engineering or technical field, who have some supervisory or management experience but are looking to gain a formal qualification in leadership and management. It is not recommended for those without at least some relevant background in their careers, as you will need to draw on your existing experience as you work through the program.

You are expected to spend approximately 10-15 hours per week learning the program material and completing assessments. This includes attending weekly webinars that run for about 90 minutes to facilitate class discussion and allow you to ask questions. This program is run online on a part-time basis and has been designed to fit around full-time work. It will take 18 months to complete.
We understand that sometimes work commitments and personal circumstances can get in the way of your studies, so if at any point you feel that you are struggling with the pace of the course or finding a particular unit challenging, you are encouraged to contact your designated learning support officer for assistance.
