EIT Student Ambassador Paula Palmer – A Woman to Behold

EIT Stock ImageWe are fortunate to have Paula as a member of our Alumni community and now representing the interests of our current and prospective students in the position of EIT Student Ambassador.

Paula completed EIT’s Advanced Diploma of Applied Electrical Engineering in 2012 from the gorgeous island east of the Caribbean Sea, Barbados. She showed tremendous steeliness in completing her degree in the allocated eighteen months while working full time and having her son and graduated second of her class. Kudos to you, Paula!

Paula works as a Distribution Engineer at the Barbados Light & Power Company which provides safe, cost-effective, and reliable energy for 125,000 customers in the island. Throughout her career she has managed projects and supervised new construction and maintenance on the company's overhead and underground T&D network.

As the EIT Student Ambassador, Paula is available to provide valuable insight to current and future students about what it means to study with EIT. Paula effectively implemented several ingenious strategies that allowed her to successfully complete her EIT qualification without delay while balancing other family and work responsibilities.
