Behrouz Ghorbanian

Behrouz is a principal electrical engineer with many years of experience in the design, planning, engineering management, and project engineering of large-scale projects in Australia and overseas, with a focus on zone substations, motor control centres (Pilbara), oil & gas projects (Gorgon project), mining projects (Eastern goldfields), and power stations (Newman, Tamar Valley). 


Behrouz has completed university degrees in power engineering, telecommunications, and power system protection. He completed his masters degree at Curtin University, Western Australia. He is now a PhD student and he is researching on the optimization of power system protection schemes.
Behrouz has worked for a number of renowned consultancies and power utilities in Australia, New Zealand, and other countries, including WorleyParsons and GHD, to name a few. Behrouz has been actively lecturing and tutoring at Curtin University, UWA, and Murdoch University on power system protection, process instrumentation & control, power system analysis, control engineering, transmission & distribution design, and HV cables.
At IDC Technologies and EIT, Behrouz has been involved in running many webinars, in-house training courses, and face-to-face workshops on various topics such as:
