Not all eLearning is the same.
See why our live, fully mentored methodology is so unique and successful
This is what the Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT) students in over 110 countries around the world experience during our acclaimed programs:
Live, Interactive Webinars
Students participate in live interactive webinars with live lecturers and other students. You are not simply given recorded videos to watch on your own.
Webinars are live, interactive sessions over the Internet using advanced web-conferencing software. Students join the lecturer and other participants from around the world in an online ‘virtual classroom’. You are able to watch a presentation and communicate with the lecturer and other students in real time via audio, text messaging, and drawing on the whiteboard.
These webinars will help to keep you motivated and engaged throughout the duration of the program. They normally last between 60 and 90 minutes depending on student interaction.
Webinars are normally scheduled at 2 (or even 3) varying times of the day to cater for the different time zones of the students. This means you can select the session which is most convenient to your own schedule.
Dates and times of the live webinars are communicated to confirmed students once the application process closes as we take into account student preference to determine the most convenient alternatives for all.
All live webinars are recorded and made available to students through our Learning Management System (LMS) to watch as often as desired. Student attendance to the live webinars is monitored by dedicated Course Coordinators who also audit the session and the lecturers or instructors to ensure proper delivery.
If you are not able to attend a live webinar, you must let your Course Coordinator know and submit a summary of the recording as evidence that you watched and understood the content taught.
Below is an example of a recorded webinar.
Lecturers with extensive Industry Experience
Our lecturers are selected and recruited from amongst the top engineers in their field on a worldwide scale. They are highly skilled at presenting challenging concepts and ideas to students of varying levels and abilities.
Informative Reading Materials
All materials required for our eLearning programs are provided by EIT in electronic format. They are delivered per module and in advance of the live sessions to give students enough time to become familiar with the content. Relevant videos and case studies also form part of the materias provided to EIT students.
Useful Reference Books
In addition to the assigned reading materials, students receive a selection of valuable reference eBooks. This allows individuals to access a personal ready-reference library of authoritative documentation.
For example, students of EIT diploma programs and above receive for the duration of their course access to the complete eletronic library of technical manuals developed by the reputable training company IDC Technologies. There are over 160 technical manuals with thousands of pages of valuable information worth over $9000.
A series of assignments are completed during the programs. These help to reinforce students’ understanding of the materials. Some programs, particularly at higher levels, may include exams.
Realistic Practicals (Remote Laboratories and Simulation Software)
In the majority of programs students participate in practical exercises using a combination of cutting edge remote laboratories and simulation software, to ensure they receive the requisite "hands-on" experience. This provides solid practical exposure to the key principles covered in the program and ensures students are able to put theory into practice. Through these hands-on exercises using simulation software, remote laboratories, practical based assignments and interactive discussion groups, students are able to grasp new knowledge, "take ownership of it" and apply it successfully to the real world.
You can view an example of how the remote laboratories work below.

Dedicated Course Coordinators
All of EIT's programs have dedicated Course Coordinators. These highly trained staff have a very important role, acting as the first point of contact and course guide to each student. They assist students through the duration of the program, providing administrative and operational support as required.
Learning Management System
We use a Learning Management System called Moodle, which is a student portal. Students are provided with a unique username and password which is used to log into a unique website for each program. This is used to provide access to all relevant course materials, receive and submit assignments and grades, use forums, chat facilities and much more.
We encourage you to join an EIT program today so we can help you advance your career!
