The EIT has received recognition, endorsement and/or accreditation as a training provider from authorising bodies based around the world. These include:

The IEEE in the USA - the world’s leading professional association for the advancement of technology, with more than 375,000 members in more than 160 countries.

The Institute of Measurement and Control in the United Kingdom - Britain’s foremost professional body for the Automation Industry.

The Project Management Institute which has more than 265,000 members in over 170 countries, provides recognition and credit for continuing education units (CEU's) provided for these courses through our sister company, IDC Technologies.

The Training Accreditation Council (TAC) in Australia - the national leader in the strategic management of the recognition and quality assurance of training. This includes associated policies, services and standards in the vocational education and training sector. It provides practical, efficient and responsive support for government, the State Training Board, industry training providers, and the community. The Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) which aims to promote a high level of education and training of practitioners in the engineering profession.

The Board of Engineers (BEM) in Malaysia which facilitates the registration of engineers and regulates the professional conduct and practice of registered engineers in order to safeguard the safety and interest of the public.

Engineers Ireland has been representing the engineering profession since 1835, making them one of the oldest and largest professional bodies in Ireland. They have more than 24,000 members come from every discipline of engineering, and range from engineering students to fellows of the profession.

Engineers Australia accredit Advanced Diploma programs at their Engineering Officer membership level.  As at February 2009, only 9 such courses have been accredited at this level.  In practice, there are well over 100 institutions around Australia offering several Advanced Diplomas in engineering subjects that have been accredited within the national government’s Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), including most TAFE’s.  This means that there are hundreds of such courses, and as a Registered Training Organisation we have decided to focus on maintaining the AQF status of our courses, as we perceive that this is the standard which most employers will place most emphasis.

Existing members of EA are entitled to claim CPD hours for private study, short courses, and learning activities at the workplace.  CPD hours can be claimed for our courses in most cases, but we would always advise individual members to check with EA if unsure regarding a specific course.
