International recognition for EIT’s advanced programs expands

The Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT) is constantly enhancing the formal international recognition of its programs. The Institute of Measurement and Control in the United Kingdom (www.instmc.org.uk) has recently added 4 new EIT programs to its list of recognised programs. The EIT’s sister company, IDC Technologies, has a long association with the IMC UK and is a Companion Company.

The Institute of Measurement and Control recognises that the programs contribute to the ‘initial professional development’ required for eventual registration as Chartered or Incorporated Engineers. The Advanced Diploma is also approved by the Institute as providing CPD for members.

The 4 new programs added recently are listed below and join other EIT advanced programs that have already passed the IMC UK’s formal recognition process. The new programs are:

- Graduate Diploma of Project Management in Industrial Automation

- Graduate Certificate of Renewable Energy Technologies

- Advanced Diploma of Plant Engineering

- Advanced Diploma of Industrial Electronics

Enrolment applications are now being accepted for the Advanced Diploma of Plant Engineering. The other programs have commenced for this year but can be added to the EIT’s schedule for 2013, which will be released during September.
