In this context functional safety deals with the application of "safety instrumented systems" as part of a company's overall risk management strategy.
The objective of this webinar is to help participants to understand:

- What is meant by the term functional safety
- How functional safety fits into wider quality and risk management frameworks
- The standards that need to be followed and why they are important
- The basic principles in managing functional safety
