For entry into most EIT degree programs, you need to have completed a minimum level of education similar to successful completion of Australian Year 12 with good grades.

Some examples of upper secondary qualifications and a guide to the minimum grades that EIT will consider are listed below.

Global Qualifications

International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma – Minimum aggregate score of 24 General Certificate of Education Advanced Levels (GCE “A Levels”) – Minimum grade of C in three subjects + a pass in Maths. All applications will be considered on a case by case basis and are subject to Admissions Committee approval.

India

60% average in best 4 academic subjects in final year (excluding local language) + a pass in Maths. All applications will be considered on a case by case basis and are subject to Admissions Committee approval.

Mauritius

Higher School Certificate (HSC) and General Certificate of Education (GCE) - Completed with an overall result of at least 7, with a C or above in Maths. Marks are calculated as a total of 3 Advanced Level subjects where A*/A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2 and E=1. Advanced Subsidiary subjects may be considered.

Nepal

60% overall in all academic subjects in final year + a pass in Maths. All applications will be considered on a case by case basis and are subject to Admissions Committee

Nigeria

Senior Secondary School (WAEC/NECO) examinations (at least 4 academic subject passes with C grade average, + a pass in Maths).All applications will be considered on a case by case basis and are subject to Admissions Committee

Pakistan

Higher Secondary School Certificate/Intermediate Certificate - 60% average in best 4 academic subjects in final year (excluding local language) + a pass in Maths. All applications will be considered on a case by case basis and are subject to Admissions Committee approval.

South Africa

National Senior Certificate in Mathematics (from 2008)

United Arab Emirates

Tawjihiyya (General Secondary Certificate) – 60% overall including a pass in Maths. All applications will be considered on a case by case basis and are subject to Admissions Committee approval.

Vietnam

Successful completion of the Upper Secondary Education Graduation Diploma (1975 onwards) with a minimum average of 70% in 4 subjects with one subject to be Maths OR Successful completion of one year of a bachelor’s degree at a recognised university.

Ghana

West African General Certificate of Education (A Level) / Higher School Certificate (HSC) Completed with an overall result of at least 5, with a C or above in Maths

Calculated from a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 A Level subjects where A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1.

Sri Lanka

Sri Lankan GCE A-Level - Minimum grade of C in three academic subjects + a pass a Maths

Japan

Kotogakko Sotsugyo Shosho (Upper Secondary School) qualification including a pass in Maths.

All applications will be considered on a case by case basis and are subject to Admissions Committee.

Papua New Guinea

Higher School Certificate - Grade average of 3.0 on 4 point scale (or Grade of B, including Maths).

All applications will be considered on a case by case basis and are subject to Admissions Committee.

Namibia

Higher Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate (NSSC higher and ordinary level): At least 6 subjects, with maths and science subjects all studied at higher level, and all subjects passed with at least grade 3 or C.

Fiji

Fiji 7th form certificate – completed with an overall average (all subjects) of at least 60%

All applications will be considered on a case by case basis and are subject to Admissions Committee.

Bhutan

Bhutan Higher Secondary Education Certificate (BHSEC)

Grade average of 60% in four academic subjects (including Maths and excluding any local languages).

All applications will be considered on a case by case basis and are subject to Admissions Committee.
